Oakleigh, Mobile’s official Antebellum Home is on the American Builders Survey and National Register for Historic Places. This Greek revival home is furnished with fine period collections of furniture, portraits, silver, china, jewelry, kitchen implements and toys.
The 100-acre park features Battleship USS ALABAMA, Submarine USS DRUM, B-52 Stratofortress, supersecret A-12 Blackbird spyplane, rose garden, and gift shop. Open daily except Christmas.
Fort Condé is a partially reconstructed 1700s French fort. Fort Condé features workable reproductions of 1740’s naval cannon and muskets. A museum inside houses artifacts from the site. Areas of the fort are furnished as officer’s and enlisted men’s quarters. Staffed with soldiers in French period uniforms.
